Salicylic acid has been proved to be an effective tool for dandruff and other similar conditions like seborrheic dermatitis.
Green Tea
There is an array of benefits from the consumption of green tea, but what is lesser known is the benefit of it being applied topically. It can help in keeping a scalp healthy and free of any dandruff issues as it has strong anti-fungal properties. This is also a pre-wash treatment. You must take enough water to be applied on your scalp, bring it to a boil, and leave two green tea bags in it for 20 minutes. Once it has cooled down, you can apply the green tea to the scalp and leave it on the scalp to dry. This should take about half an hour, after which the hair is to be rinsed gently with water.
